I meant to post this on the first day of fall last week; however, I had a very busy week until it came to a screeeeeching halt. Yes, that is right, my last minute TO DO list for the baby has been put on hold. I went to the doctor on Friday and learned that I have Pregnancy Induced Hypertension. What does this mean? It means that I have high blood pressure that can only be solved by having the baby. However, the doctor isn't quite ready for me to deliver (18 days until my due date), so she has put me on bed rest. BED REST!!! Sigh...boring. Luckily, I have wonderful friends and family who have been keeping me company.
Anyways...here are a few memories from the summer.
Hang in there. I read through my entire collection of Harry Potter books waiting on Tink to make an appearance. Just look at it as a chance to store energy now for all the non-restful times you will have when your little one arrives. You probably a few long nights ahead of you once she gets here. It's all good, but you will be glad you have had the time to rest now~
ReplyDeleteJust think of all the time you'll have for blogging now. :) (Joking) Wishing you the best!!!
ReplyDeleteHang in there and try to enjoy the last few days - the rest goes so fast!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my dear, I hope the time goes quickly for you! I wasn't on bedrest, but school had let out and I was just sitting at home waiting for Adam to come (5 days overdue, by the way.) So I understand the boredom. I read a kazillion books about childbirth and started watching all the season of the office on DVD. Good luck! Will be thinking about you!
ReplyDeleteOh Good Luck! And worry not - at 37 weeks, that bean is done cooking. Good Health to you both!
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best, Barbara! :) Loving those Disney pics, too! :)
ReplyDeleteRest up and enjoy your bed rest to keep your baby safe and well until she arrives! I promise you will be exhausted but thrilled in new parenthood and cherish the long naps you got on bed rest. Looking forward to following your updates as the baby arrives soon!
